The Vienna based artist Heidi Schatzl works at the intersection between space, time and the research of cultural history. In her field researches she focuses on architecture in the state of exception like Nazi-urbanism in Linz, Austria or modernism and its expropriation. This implies research in archives and goes beyond that. Her approach is participative as well, as she finds her references not only in public but also in private archives. Her arts based interest lies on single set pieces, which allow a narration.
