We invite you to a conversation with Moran Lee Yakir, Liron Ben Shlush and Ran Kasmy Ilan, as part of the solo exhibition “Come back, I need to leave” currently on display at the Residence’s Gallery.
Moran Lee Yakir (b.1979, Tel Aviv), installation artist and sculptor based in Tel Aviv.
Graduated with a B.F.A degree with honors from the Department of Ceramic and Glass Design and an M.F.A. degree, both from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem.
Her site-specific works are characterized by their ability to transform spaces and by the sense of physical relativity required from her sculptures. Her background as a dancer and her profession as a practitioner of Chinese medicine are evident in the physicality of her creations, both structurally and in the movement they embody.
Winner of a research assistant scholarship in the department of ceramic and glass design Bezalel and a Blumenthal award for an outstanding final project. She has exhibited in group exhibitions, including as part of the Manofim Festival and Harama Magazine on the theme “Nurse, Nurse,” at the Rockefeller Museum in Jerusalem, and during the Jerusalem Design Week at Hansen House.
Liron Ben Shlush, screenwriter and film, television and theater actress, graduated from the Nissan Nativ acting studio. The movie “Next to Her”, which she wrote and played the lead role in, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was distributed in various countries. The winner of the best film and screenplay award at the Haifa festival, the best screenplay on behalf of the Film Critics Forum, the best film at various festivals including Chicago, Tokyo, Thessaloniki, the winner of the acting award in Mumbai and more. Ben Shlush won the Ophir Award for the best leading actress for her role in the movie “Working Woman”.
