Jasmin Vardi (b. 1989) is currently an MFA candidate at the Slade school of the arts, UCL, London. Vardi holds a BFA (2015) from the School of Multidisciplinary Art, Shenkar Academic College, summa com laude. In 2014 she participated in an exchange program at the UdK, Berlin Academy of the Arts.
Vardi presented her work in Israel and abroad in various venues such as The International Student Film Festival (TISFF)- LookOut: The Experimental Film & Video Competition (soon: 2020), London Architecture festival (2020) , The CCA- The center for contemporary art Tel-Aviv (2019), Manofim Festival Jerusalem(2019), The 35th+ 34th Haifa International Film Festival (2018,2019), The Artists Residence Herzliya (2018), WRO 2017 DRAFT SYSTEMS – Biennale for Media Art in Poland (2017), The 18 Mediterranean Biennale for young artists in Albania (2017), The Tel-Aviv Artists studios (2016) and the gallery of the Berlin Academy of the Arts (2014) and more.
Vardi is a recipient of Leonora Carrington Scholarship, The Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, London (2019-2021) ,recipient of the Young Video Artist Award, Ministry of Science Culture and Sport (2020), The Ministry of Culture (2019) , recipient of the Lottery council for the culture and arts (2018), The New Israeli Foundation for Cinema and Television, in cooperation with the Print screen festival and Feature Forward (2017), received a grant for special projects from the Yehoshua Rabinovich Foundation for the Arts (2016), the Shenkar President’s Award (2014) and the Dean’s Shenkar Prizes (2013,2012).
